काठमाडौँ विश्वविद्यालय स्कुल अफ इन्जिनियरिङ अन्तर्गत इलेक्ट्रिकल एन्ड इलेक्ट्रिोनिक्स अध्ययनरत दिपेन्द्र मण्डल, सुरेश जोशी र कृस्टिना थापाको को सक्रियता मा काभ्रेको दुर्गम डाँडापारी गाउँमा टेलिसेन्टर को स्थापना गरिएकोछ । म्याग्सेसे पुरस्कार विजेता महावीर पुनको संस्था इ-नेटवर्किङ रिसर्च एन्ड डेभेलप्मेन्ट को प्रत्यक्ष सहभागिता मा मा, नेपाल दूर सञ्चार प्राधिकरण सँगै काठमाडौं विश्वविद्यालय र गाविसले विद्यार्थीहरुलाई सघाएको थियो । डाँडापारी, काभ्रे को तालढुंगा मा टेलिसेन्टर को स्थापना गरिएको हो । अन्तिम वर्ष को प्रोजेक्ट स्वरुप, इलेक्ट्रिकल एन्ड इलेक्ट्रोनिक्स का विद्यार्थीहरुले करिब ६ लाख ६६ हजार को लागत मा टेलिसेन्टर को स्थापना गरेका हुन् । टेलिसेन्टर को स्थापना सँगै दुर्गम गाउँमा इन्टरनेट सुविधा पुगेको छ भने, स्थानियलाई अब फोन गर्न कै लागि कोशौँ टाढा धाउनुपर्ने बाध्यता टरेको छ । डाँडापारी मा टेलिसेन्टर को स्थापनार्थ काठमाडौँ विश्वविद्यालयले चार थान पेन्टियम थ्री कम्प्युटर, कम्प्युटर इन्जिनियरिङका विद्यार्थी विनोद अधिकारीले एक थान कम्प्युटर र नेपाल वायरलेस प्रोजेक्टले रेडियो यन्त्

This is an exam time for us, and its an admission time for others who wants to join KU (Kathmandu University). It’s not only time for exam and admission but this is a season of Monsoon too. And whenever, new guy came to KU in this season will fall in Love with KU, they fall in love with KU Environment. They just wish to study here, because they had never seen such scene in Monsoon. There are so many moments in KU where i spoke to so many people, my classmates, students of other faculties and some teachers whose face even i don't remember right now but the moments are very fresh and will always have impact in my thinking. KU is really a place where you have so many people to share, so many people to throw your tantrum, so many people to argue and so many people to get dissatisfied. आज असार १५, नेपालीहरु का लागि एउटा पर्व सरह नै हुन्छ । आज दही च्युरा खाने दिन ! सम्भवत: आज कै दिनलाई धान दिवस को रुपमा पनि मनाउने गरिन्छ ।  तर यसपाली अहिले सम्म पनि वर्षा नलागेकोले, अधिकांश ले धान भने रोप्न पाएका छैनन्, अत: उनीहरुलाई असार १५ पनि खल्लो, खल्लो नै लागेको छ । सिचाइ को सुविधा नहुनु नै, हामी नेपालीहरु को दुर्भाग्य होला । घर मा हुँदा  आज दिन मा कम्ति मा पनि, खेत मा गएर एकचोटि हिलो छोइन्थ्यो । हिलो मा चल्नु पनि रमाइलो नै हुन्छ, अझ असार को झरी परिरहेको बखत पानी मा भिज्दै, हिलो मा खेल्दै, बाउसे गर्न निकै नै रमाइलो हुन्थ्यो । भनिन्थ्यो, आज को दिन त राजा रानी ले पनि हिलो छुन्छन् रे, अत: उनीहरुले पनि हिलो खेल्छन् भन्ने थाहा पाएर आफूलाई पनि, कसैगरि पनि हिलो खेल्नुपर्थ्यो आज को दिन मा ! तर अहिले परिस्थिति फरक छ ! :P आज यही असार १५ को मेसो पारेर, २-३ दिन अघि आफ्नो विश्वविद्यालय को वरिपरि खिचेको फोटो पोष्ट गर्दैछु । आशा छ, यी हरिया देखिएका धान खेतहरुले, यहाँहरुलाई पनि, असार १५, रोपाइ, दही च्युरा को सम्झना दिलाउने छ । असार १५  का अवसर मा समस्त नेपाली कृषकहरुलाई हार्दिक शुभकामना !

KU BiC तथा बायोटेक्नोलोजी ०७ ब्याच को आयोजना मा भएको “3rd All Nepal Biotechnology Football Tournament” को उपाधि ह्वाइट हाउस ले जितेको छ । केयु स्टेडियम, धुलिखेल काभ्रेमा शुक्रबार दिउँसो भएको अत्यन्तै रोमाञ्चक खेल मा ह्वाइट हाउस टिमले, केयु को स्टाफ टिमलाई ३-२ गोल ले हराउँदै, उपाधि माथि कब्जा जमाउन सफल भएको  हो । पहिलो हाफ मा शुन्य गोल को बराबरी मा रहेका टिमहरु  खेल को दोस्रो हाफ मा भने गोल गर्न सफल भएका थिए । ह्वाइटहाउस का लागि प्रवेश भट्टराई ले पहिलो गोल गरेका थिए भने केयु स्टाफ टिम का मनोज बडु ले, पाएको पेनल्टि को सदुपयोग गर्दै पहिलो गोल फर्काउँदै खेल बराबरी मा पुर्याएका थिए । खेल को ६३ औँ मिनेट मा ह्वाइट हाउस का केशव बहादुर कार्की ले गोल गर्दै टिमलाई १ गोल को अग्रता दिलाएका थिए । तर खेल मा ह्वाइट हाउस ले यो अग्रता धेरै बेर कायम गर्न सकेन । ६५ औँ मिनेट मा प्रज्वल बस्नेत ले केयु स्टाफ को लागि अर्को १ गोल गर्दै, खेल लाई बराबरी मा पुर्याए । खेल अवधिभर दुबै तर्फबाट २-२ गोल भएकोले खेल ‘एक्स्ट्रा’ समय मा लम्बियो । थपिएको समय को सदुपयोग गर्दै ह्वाइट हाउस का अम्बर बहादुर कार्की ले ह्वाइट

Society of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (SEEE) Annual Day and Farewell Program was observed in CV Raman Auditorium Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel Kavre on June 15, 2010. Farewell was given to the seniors (last years) who are going to graduate this year from Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department. In an occasion various songs and dances were performed by students of Electrical and Engineering Department, KU.  Prize were also distributed to the winners of Quiz, Volleyball, Basketball, circuit competition etc, which were organized by SEEE last year. Also, various title like Mr. Personality, Mr. All Rounder, Mr. Quite, Ms. Gorgeous etc were given to the seniors by SEEE. Aastha Bhattarai of Electrical and Electronic Engineering first year sung the first opening song in the program. काठमाडौँ विश्वविद्यालय मा अध्ययनरत कम्प्युटर इन्जिनियरिङ दोस्रो वर्षका विद्यार्थीहरुले काठमाडौँ विश्वविद्यालय कम्प्युटर क्लब (KUCC) को वार्षिक कार्यक्रम अनुसार, सन् २०१० को लागि IT Express नामक वार्षिक म्यागजिन केहि दिन अघि सार्वजनिक गरेका छन् । विगत का वर्षहरु मा केयुसिसी एक्सप्रेस को नाम मा निस्कने गरेको म्यागजिन को, यसपटक देखि नाम परिवर्तन गरेर आइटि एक्सप्रेस राखिएको छ । पब्लिकेशन टिम का अनुसार, यो पहिलो राष्ट्रिय स्तर को म्यागजिन हो । ४४ पृष्ठ रहेको म्यागजिन का सबै पेजहरु ‘कलर’ मा रहेका छन् । “संस्कृत”लाई आवरण लेख बनाइएको म्यागजिन मा NITC का निर्देशक अनुप बास्कोटा देखि म्यागसेसे विजेता महाविर पुन सम्म का अन्तरवार्ता समेटिएको छ । साथै, अन्य विविध उपयोगी र जानकारी मुलक टेक्नोलोजी सम्बद्ध लेखहरु समावेश गरिएको छ । छापिएको म्यागजिन को प्रति सबैलाई सबैठाउँ मा उपलब्ध गराउन असम्भव नै छ तर पनि हामी ले यहाँहरु को लागि प्रिन्ट म्यागजिन को ‘डिजिटल’ प्रति डाउनलोड को लागि उपलब्ध गराएका छौँ । यहाँहरुलाई पनि टेक्नोलोजी मा रुचि छ र टेक जगत मा नयाँ कुराहरु के कस्ता भइरहेकाछन् भन्ने उत्सुकता ला

यही जुन ६, २०१० आइतबार का दिन, काठमाडौँ विश्वविद्यालय धुलिखेल काभ्रे मा, मिडिया स्टडिज ग्रुप को सक्रियता मा, ‘सहयात्रा’ नामक कार्यक्रम हुन गइरहेको छ । विभन्न कलेज का विद्यार्थी बिच अन्तरक्रिया गराउने हेतु अर्थात, ‘सहयात्रा’ गर्ने हेतुले पहिलोपल्ट आयोजना हुनलागेको सहयात्रा,मा विद्यार्थी लगायत, शिक्षक, तथा मिडियाकर्मीहरु को सहभागिता रहनेछ । आयोजक मिडिया स्टडिज ग्रुप केयु ले, कार्यक्रम ले विभिन्न कलेज का विद्यार्थीहरु बिच आपसी, सहयोग र सम्बन्ध बढाउन सेतु को काम गर्ने अपेक्षा राखेको छ । आयोजक का अनुसार, हालसम्म तिस वटा कलेज ले कार्यक्रम मा सहभागिता हुने कुरा जनाइसकेकाछन् । कार्यक्रम मा  विभिन्न मिडिया हाउस बाट, वक्ताहरुलाई आमन्त्रण गरिएको छ । विशेषगरि, मिडिया पढिरहेका विद्यार्थीहरु मा लक्षित कार्यक्रम ‘सहयात्रा’ को तयारी अन्तिम चरण मा पुगेको छ । कार्यक्रम ‘सहयात्रा’ लाई सफलताको शुभकामना ! KUOSC (Kathmandu University Open Source Community) is organizing a basic Linux training program called LINUX TALKS 2010 for the students of Kathmandu University. The program will start from Wednesday June 2, 2010 and will last for three days. The training will be conducted after 4:30 pm till 6:30 pm at the General Computer Lab of Computer Science and Engineering Department. The training will basically be focused on: 1. Overview of Open Source Software and Linux Operating System 2. Installation of Ubuntu Linux Operating system 3. Package (Program) installation 4. Application overview and alternative applications 5. File management 6. Terminal basics 7. Internet and Networking Basics 8. 190th Nursing Day 2010 was observed in Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel Kavre with a motto “Yes ! I can” on May 12. On the occasion of “190th Nursing Day” and  “Florence Nightingale 190th Birthday”, a program was organized by Dhulikhel Hospital (Kathmandu University Teaching Hospital) in Kathmandu University CV Raman Auditorium. “Nursing Day-2010” was inaugurated by Madam Bishnu and Madam Regina by lightening the candle.  In the program Madam Regina Singh and 2nd year Nursing students gave presentation on “Concept on Nursing Code”. Likewise Sister Sulekha and sister Pratima Wenju gave presentation on “Nursing Activities of Dhulikhel Hospital – Kathmandu University Hospital” . They have given the brief introduction of ‘Dhulikhel Hospital and its ongoing program and activities’. Sunset is the daily disappearance of the sun below the horizon as a result of the Earth's rotation. And sunset is one of the most wonderful moment. Its always feels good to see sunset or sunrise. Today, I’m posting some pictures of sunset here. These pictures were clicked some day back during KU Sports Week 2010. We were watching Football Final Match that day, but clicked pictures of Sunset too as a competition. Competition was between me & Usha . Hope you will like it.
