Kenton Cool Tweeted First Tweet Ever From the Top Of the World, Mount Everest [VIDEO]

Kenton Cool, a British mountain climber using a Ncell 3G Connection, tweeted the first tweet from Mount Everest.

He climbed to the summit 9th time and this time, he set a record by tweeting ‘first tweet ever’ from the top of the world i.e. from the summit of ‘Mount Everest’.

Though 3G Signal was weak, how ever he had managed to send first tweet from the Mount Everest.

Samsung sponsored Kenton Cool to use its new most powerful smartphone “Samsung Galaxy S II”, to make the first 3G call and tweet from the summit of Mount Everest. However it had been great if he had enabled location service on, in his new “Samsung Galaxy S II”.

Kenton Cool tweeted, “Everest summit no 9! 1st tweet from the top of the world thanks to a weak 3G signal & the awesome Samsung Galaxy S2 handset! @samsunguk”

And micro-blogging site Twitter also said, Kenton Cool has tweeted first tweet from the Mount Everest. Twitter tweeted, “Wow, @KentonCool managed to send the 1st Tweet from an Everest summit. Where's the craziest place you've ever tweeted?”

Not only Kenton but Samsung also set a record, “Samsung Galaxy S II” was unboxed in Mount Everest for the first time. Kenton was with his new “Samsung Galaxy S II”. And Samsung says, “extreme unboxing of Samsung Galaxy S II on Mount Everest”

In October 2010, A private Nepali telecom company Ncell took high speed Internet facilities to the top of the world. Ncell launched Nepal's first 3G services at the base camp of Mount Everest.

In order to make the 3G services available to locals and trekkers in the Khumbu area, Ncell has set up nine base stations -- in Lukla, Namche, Khumjung, Thame, Syanboche, Thyangboche, Kalapatthar, Phakding and Gorakshep.

SLC Result 2067/2068 Published : Check SLC Result 2067

The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE), Sanothimi, on Monday published the results of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) 2067 examinations held last year. Under the regular category, a total of 2,20,766 students passed the exams, with pass percentage standing at 55.5, the OCE said in a press statement. Among them 1,24,305 are boys and 96,461 are girls. Of those passing the iron gate, 23,0499 achieved distinction marks; 82,619 passed in the first division; 1,09795 second division and the rest in 8241 third division. As many as 4,54,022 students had appeared in the exams conducted in March this year. Likewise, under the exempted category, 9733 students passed the exams with the pass percentage of 17.30. Nepal News wrote, "The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) has refuted rumours that the results of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) had been published this morning". Controller of Examinations Chitra Devkota said, the results will be published by next week. The OCE had said, it would publish the SLC results in the first week of July, earlier, too.
