Nepali Movie Highway to Release on 15th June from Nepal

The most awaited Nepali Movie ‘Highway’ is set to release on 15th June 2012, (असार १ गते, २०६९) from Nepal. Before the release, Highway will be premiered on 14th June (जेठ ३२ गते). Distributor and producer Narendra Maharjan, who distributed the ‘Loot’ will be distributing  the movie Highway.

Highway Nepali Movie releasing on 15th June 2012A first crowd funded Nepali movie ‘Highway’, which has been creating a buzz ever since it went into production was screened at one of the most prestigious film festival ‘Berlin Film Festival 2012’ on February. Directed by Deepak Rauniyar and produced by Dr. Sameer Mani Dixit, Dr. Lonim P Dixit. Joslyn Barnes and Danny Glover, the movie is believed to be another milestone in Nepali film industry.

Highway movie trailer was first released on last September in Kathmandu. 

Nepali Movie HigwaySynopsis:
Set among the breathtaking landscapes of Eastern Nepal, "HIGHWAY", the first full-length feature of director/producer Deepak Rauniyar, follows the journey of nine characters whose individual stories become accidentally interconnected during an ill-fated bus journey they take to the capital Kathmandu. The passengers - each of whom urgently needs to be somewhere else – find themselves stranded on the only main road due to an improvised and unlawful blockade known as a "bandh". While the journey is thwarted numerous times awaiting a resolution to the combustible strike, the film's story shifts into the characters’ psychological and spiritual "bandhs" that many Nepalis are contending with since the end of the bloody 12-year civil conflict.

    such flims lyke highway should b banned in nepal....sala paisa kamaune melo matra gareko rai6 k flim vannu ysto flim lai ysto pani flim hun6 na kai story 6 na kai 6... yo flim banaune man6e ta ksto ola lata ho ki batha ho... i hate n i jas hate to watch such kind of movie...... n i have never seen sucha worst movie yet.....

    dear, Deepak.. no doubt ,you are a creative youth film maker in collywood....i wqnt to suggest yoiu ...why you don't mention about your crew members like camera person,Makeup artist,choreographers etc........
