मीनबहादुर गुरुङ, भाटभटेनी सुपरमार्केट का सञ्चालक का रुपमा सुपरिचित छन् । भाटभटेनी तथा महाराजगञ्ज  मा अत्याधुनिक सुविधा सम्पन्न सुपरमार्केट स्थापना गरिसकेका अरबौँ का मालिक मीनबहादुर गुरुङ अब समाजसेवा मा लागेका छन् । 

करिब ५ करोड को लागत मा भाटभटेनी सुपरमार्केटका प्रबन्धक मीनबहादुर गुरुङले शिक्षण अस्पताल, महाराजगञ्जमा आकस्मिक कक्षका लागि भवन निर्माण, सरसफाइ र मर्मत व्यवस्थापन गर्न लागेका छन्।

सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व पूरा गर्न मात्र नभई भावनात्मक सन्तुष्टिका लागि भवन निर्माण गर्न लागेको गुरुङले बताए। 'स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्रमा योगदान गर्नु मेरो रुचि हो,' उनले भने। आफू खोटाङको विकट ठाउँमा जन्मिएको र उपचार अभावले दुःख पाएकाले स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्रमा काम गर्ने रुचि जागेको उनले बताए। 'म किसानको छोरा, बर्षामा भिज्दा तीन दिनसम्म ज्वरो आएको थियो,' विगत सम्झँदै उनले भने, 'भनेको बेला सिटामोल पनि पाइनँ’ । केही वर्ष पहिले, सानो कोठाबाट सुरु गरेको व्यवसाय आज निकै ठूलो र सफल भइसकेको छ ।

हिजो बिबिसी नेपाली सेवा सुन्दा लाग्यो, नेपाल मा पनि धन र मन हुने मान्छे रहेछन् । अनि लाग्यो, सबै उनी जस्तै हुनेभए, आ-आफ्नो ठाउँबाट सकेको काम गर्ने हो भने, नेपाल छिट्ठै नै विकासित हुने थियो । खोटाङ बाट २०३१ साल मा काठमाडौँ छिरेको, गाउँले केटो, आफू मात्रै बनेन, देश बनाउन पनि लागि पर्दैछ ।
