Download and Install Nepali Unicode Romanised to write in Nepali all over the web. First of all, you have to Download and Run the Program on your computer. Then, you have to do some settings on your computer to use Nepali Unicode Romanized. You can download Nepali Unicode Romanized from the Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya website for free.

Install Nepali Unicode Romanized in Windows XP:
Install:
Run setup file;
Go to control Panel;
Open Language and Regional settings;
Open Regional Language Options;
Go to Language Options & tick on check box (install files..... Thai, instal....east Asian...languages):
Click apply-it might ask for windows CD:
Insert CD or you can directly copy "i386" files too;
And install all: then you have done;
Click for details;
Then click add a tab;
A new popup will appear:
Select "Sanskrit" in the first box;
Select "Nepali unicode (romanized)" in second box;
Click "ok";
You have successfully installed it;
Press "alt+shift" once to type in Nepali;
And press "alt+shift" once to type in English;
Install Nepali Unicode Romanized in Windows Vista / Windows 7:
First of all run the setup file. It will install Nepali Unicode Romanised on your computer. Now you have to do some settings. Follow the following steps.
i. Go To Control Panel
ii. Click Clock, Language and Region / Change keyboards or other input method
iii. New Pop Up window will appear. Then do the following as suggested in the image below:
Click on Change Keyboards
Click Add Button
Select Sanskrit (India) and tick show more, it will show the list as follows.
Tick/Check Nepali Unicode (Romanized) and click Ok.
Download Nepali Romanized Unicode.After setting this, you will see English and Sanskrit.Finally, you have installed Nepali Unicode Romanized in your computer. Now Restart your Computer. Press "alt+shift" once to type in Nepali; and press "alt+shift" once to type in English;

ReplyDeleteSome also have reported the same problem, that they are unable to install Nepali Unicode Romanized. But mine is working in windows 7.
Sorry, to hear your problem, don't know why you are not able to install and use it. Once again follow the above procedure, check your language settings once.
Just I can say, try again because I don't have idea, why you are not able to install it. Check each and every language settings carefully.Good Luck !

This is only for 32 bit windows. Don't know it works on 64bit windows of not.
ReplyDeleteThose above zip files are working. You can try both links; to download Nepali romanized Unicode.
Might be there is problem with your computer or your zip extractor application/software.
You can download newer version of winrar, 7zip or other types of software to extract those files.

Follow these things:
1. After installing romanized unicode, Proceed each step as stated in above post.
2. This is mainly for 32 bit system, so it might not work in 64 bit windows.

ReplyDeleteyou need to learn, traditional layout... if you are familiar with preeti/kantipur etc typing, then it will be easy to use traditional, otherwise, you can't.. you have to learn nepali typing first.
