The Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE), Sanothimi, on Monday published the results of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) 2067 examinations held last year. Under the regular category, a total of 2,20,766 students passed the exams, with pass percentage standing at 55.5, the OCE said in a press statement. Among them 1,24,305 are boys and 96,461 are girls. Of those passing the iron gate, 23,0499 achieved distinction marks; 82,619 passed in the first division; 1,09795 second division and the rest in 8241 third division. As many as 4,54,022 students had appeared in the exams conducted in March this year. Likewise, under the exempted category, 9733 students passed the exams with the pass percentage of 17.30. Of the total 1, 03,752 students—49,842 boys and 53,910 girls— who appeared for the supplementary exam, 69,930 students—34,219 boys and 35,711 girls—passed with the total pass percentage standing at 67.40. A total of 1,551 students—828 boys and 723 girls— passed with first division, while 51,069 students—24,878 boys and 26,191 girls— secured the second division. The rest 17,310 students –8513 boys and 8797 girls—passed with third division.
