The Karnali Highway in northwest Nepal is the most dangerous stretch of road in the country. Cut out of the mountains, the 250 km road ascends 3,000 metres into the Himalayans. It's the sole lifeline supplying vital supplies to inhabitants of the poorest region of Nepal. Deadliest Journeys Team followed the fortunes of those who, willingly or not, have to use this 'impossible' road. Drivers, travellers and merchants, the highway remains the fastest, if not the safest, way to get around in this mountainous region. A non profit social media organization based in Finland, Silver Lining Creation has released their most awaited Nepali Documentary ‘The Third Generation’ (2009) (तेस्रो पुस्ता) on YouTube. The documentary was screened at different documentary evenings and film festivals around the globe. The documentary has been narrated in Nepali with subtitles in English. In January 2010, it has been released in Nepal. Synopsis: The documentary is based on a 19 years old Nepalese boy who leaves his well paid job with the United Nations in order to pursue a higher degree in the West. The documentary features his daily struggles in a new environment and, most importantly, portrays his self-awareness and longing for a search of identity. Amidst utter sadness looming around, he comes up with an idea that could transform his war savaged country into a prosperous wonderland. Documentary Movie called “Sherpas - The True heroes of Mt. Everest” was Released at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel Kavre, this evening. Documentary show was organized by Kathmandu Cycle City 2020 as a fund raising show for  Everest Peace Expedition 2010 led by Mr. Pushkar Shah, the world cyclist. Nearly 200 students watched documentary today at CV Raman Auditorium of Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel Kavre.  Along with this documentary a short documentary on, The world cyclist Mr. Pushkar Shah  was also screened in the program. The world cyclist Mr. Pushkar Shah is going to climb Mount Everest in this season.
